March 19 and 20: Berlin, Germany
Your tour guides will pick you up at the airport in Berlin. Your sightseeing will include some of Berlin's top sights: Checkpoint Charlie museum, portraying heroic attempts at escapes during the Cold War; the Brandenburg Gate, which formerly divided East and West Berlin; the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church; and Germany's parliament, the Reichstag, with a glass dome which we will climb.

March 21: Nürnberg, Germany
Take a scenic train trip to Nürnberg, a historic walled city in Germany's Bavaria region. If you're a fan of those delicious Lebkuchen cookies, be sure to get them here! We'll spend a relaxing afternoon exploring and enjoying the medieval old town with its Lorenzkirche and Craftsmen's Courtyard.

March 22: Rothenburg, Germany
Take a daytrip to Rothenburg, one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval towns. We’ll stroll on top of the ancient city walls, wonder at the famous Riemenschneider wood carving, and shop at the renowned Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas Village. In the afternoon you may choose to visit the Medieval Crime and Punishment Museum, explore the many nooks and crannies in this picturesque town, or take advantage of Rothenburg's great shopping opportunities.

March 23 and 24: Munich and Füssen, Germany
We'll spend the greater part of the day in Munich at the Viktualenmarkt (market), climbing to the top of St. Peter's Church for a great view of the city, and enjoying a performance of the famous Glockenspiel clock. In the afternoon we'll take a train through the beautiful southern German countryside to the pretty little town of Füssen, nestled in the Bavarian Alps. From here we'll tour both of "Mad" King Ludwig's castles, the Disney-like Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

March 25: Zugspitze, Germany
Today we’ll head into the beautiful alpine region of southern Bavaria, Germany.  Here we’ll ride a cogwheel train and gondola to the top of Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze. On a clear day the views overlook the mountains of 4 countries. Spend the night in Salzburg, Austria.

March 26 and 27: Salzburg and surrounding region, Austria
We’ll explore the Old Town, take a funicular to the Hohensalzburg Fortress, visit Salzburg Cathedral, and have the opportunity to either go on a Sound of Music bus tour, visit Mozart's birthplace, or shop along the narrow medieval streets. A visit to the surrounding region of Hallein will take you deep into the mountainside to explore the centuries-old salt mine, as well as a nearby Celtic village.

March 28 and 29: Vienna, Austria
We'll spend two days enjoying this classical city, once home to Strauss, Mozart, and Beethoven. Here we’ll tour the elegant Schönbrunn Palace, and take some time to shop for regional specialties at the Easter Market. We'll also visit the historic gothic St. Stephens Cathedral, where you may decide to venture up the 343 steps for a grand panoramic view of the city. You’ll also visit the world-class Kunsthistorisches Museum with its magnificent collection of European masterpieces, including some Rembrandts. We’ll take a look at the Schatzkammer, or Treasury, where the most beautiful jewels from the Holy Roman Empire are on display; and snack to your heart's content at the 100 year-old outdoor Naschmarket. Afternoons and evenings you’ll have opportunity to enjoy coffee and pastry at Demel’s bakery, explore the Hofburg Palace, or get your thrills at the Prater amusement park with its famous Ferris wheel.
